Munich Postdoc101 Talk Series
The Munich Postdoc101 Talk Series provides relevant information about a variety of topics that are of particular importance and interest for postdoctoral researchers.The series is organized in collaboration with TUM Talent Factory and open to all postdoctoral researchers from research institutions in the Munich area. 
The talks take place on Wednesdays from 16:00 - 18:00 h CET. You can register until Tuesday noon before the respective talk. more
PostdocNet Equity and Diversity working groupSeminar series: Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Awareness
With this seminar and discussion series we will host MPG internal and external guests to speak about topics relating to equal opportunity and diversity, within the postdoctoral community and beyond.
The talks take place every 2nd Wednesday of the month at 12:00 h CET. more

The Career Evolution Web Series: From Science2Industry is offered by the Industry Track of the Planck Academy in collaboration with the PhDnet and PostdocNet of the Max Planck Society. It particularly addresses Doctoral Researchers, Postdocs and Research Group Leaders but is also open to any interested party of the Max Planck Community and its friends.

DZD researcher Prof. Henriette Kirchner is a nutrition scientist by training and Professor at the University of Lübeck, where she currently leads the Epigenetics & Metabolism group. Dr. Kirchner has won numerous awards including the Ethan Sims Young Investigator Award from The Obesity Society (2009) and the Young Investigator Award from the Leibniz Foundation (2011).

Zurich Life Science Day | 07 February 2023, University of Zurich – Irchel campus

What role does science play in contemporary society? What tasks does it face in light of global crises and complex economic and political contexts? What claim to validity can science still make in society and what is the significance of the university as a central scientific teaching and research institution?

The MSCL Colloquium series is an open place for
discussion and academic reflection on science communication and planetary health.

On November 29th, Dr. Lukas Rudolph will debate the question “When Does the Public Support Ambitious Climate and Environmental Policy?"
His research covers political behavior, preference formation, and the role of institutions from a comparative political economy perspective. He has a specific interest in environmental politics and environmental behavior. more

TUM Meet the expert: Your rights under the German taxation law (Online) | 01 December 2022, 13:00 - 14:00 h CET
With our introduction to the German tax system, we want to help you gain a better understanding of its depths and discover how you can use it to your advantage.

Come meet tax expert Johannes Stetten from Lohnsteuerhilfe e.V. during a short yet informative Zoom event who will be talking about e.g.
  • the conditions under which international researchers and their families may be exempted from paying taxes in Germany,
  • the types of returnable taxes and
  • how to file those
